Information for potential applicants
We focus on distributed systems, human-computer interaction, and financial technologies, and we're always open to outstanding candidates across these areas. If you believe you're a good fit, we encourage you to apply for a Ph.D. position with us.
For UM students: You should have taken at least one course taught by me and completed your thesis under my supervision.
For non-UM students: Please include your CV and transcript in your email, with a clear statement of your research interests and how you envision collaborating with me. A collaborative research project is required to confirm your compatibility with our lab.
Our recruitment occurs twice annually, aligned with the University of Macau's application cycles. For fall enrollment, please submit your application by the end of February. For spring enrollment, applications should be submitted by the end of July of the previous year. Applying directly through the university's system without contacting me directly may not guarantee admission.
Ph.D. completion is targeted at 4 years, which includes a qualifying exam at the end of the first year.
Salary details are as follows: MOP 12,500/20,000 monthly.Â
Each year, only one student per advisor is eligible to compete for a MOP 20,000 monthly scholarship. However, less than 5% of students are ultimately awarded this scholarship. Fortunately, our lab has seen two candidates achieve this top scholarship.
